Beach party accessories
Who doesn’t love the beach? The waves crashing against the shore and
then receding out to sea – it is a mesmerizing sight. A beach party is
fun for everyone, especially those who do not live by a beach. We travel
on vacation to visit beaches and enjoy the warm weather, the sand and
the water. Enjoy a little beach fun by having your own beach party!
A very Beach scene
Invitations for a beach party can be as subdued as beach shells or as
colorful as leis, flip flops, hibiscus or parrots. Instruct your guests
that proper beach wear must be worn. Give them suggestions such as
colorful shirts and khakis for men and brightly colored floral short
dresses for women. Ramp up the hula music and the colors! Consider it a
Hawaiian luau. When guests arrive, place flower lei around the neck as a
welcome. The beauty and vivid color of hibiscus surrounds your guests.
Flip flop light sets twinkle from above. Set your light to be slightly
dim. You want to create a mood of fun and energy but also one of
relaxation. Tiki torches give subtle lighting in the backyard.
The Table and Food
The dinner plates, dessert plates, cut and napkins have embossed with
a hibiscus design. For an extra touch, add round luau fringe plate mats
to your setting. Even the parasol straws for the drinks are decorated
with the colorful tropical flowers. The tables are adorned with grass
table skirts with hibiscus. Starfish can be placed on the top of the
table for interest. The table centerpiece can be fresh or paper
pineapples. The serving containers for food can also possess the beach
ambiance. Add a large plastic seashell bowl for the potato chips. A palm
leaf serving tray can hold dip. Next to the serving table is an
inflatable palm tree in pool cooler to keep bottled beverages cold.
Disposable cameras should be placed on tables for guests to take
pictures of each others.
Souvenirs
Party favor or souvenirs from your beach getaway party are always
welcome by guests. This is particularly true when they are useful items.
Beach hats with hibiscus hat bands, flip flop key chains, natural shell
lei, neon sunglasses, hibiscus hair clips are all items they can be used
or kept until the next beach party. For the kids, a great party favor
would be a tropical fish ring sucker or miniature inflatable beach
