You can buy party accessories more economically online than at local

money. It is important to factor in the shipping costs when comparison
shopping. If you can get shipping at reduced prices or free when you
purchase a certain purchase amount, online shopping may be the better
bargain. Also, buying theme packs tends to be lower priced than buying
the items individually.
Share party accessories
If you have friends or family members with small children, see if you
can consolidate purchases when possible. If you both have little boys
who will be six this year, see if the boys can agree on the same theme.
This way you both can split the costs of the centerpieces and wall
decorations. You may even be able to split the costs of invitations,
plates, cups and napkins dependent upon the number of items per pack and
how many children each child will want to invite.

Determine what are the essential parts of your child’s birthday
party. Does the child really care about the centerpiece? Focus on what
your child wants from a birthday party. He may want to see the
centerpiece and not really care about the plates and cups being
matching. Buy accordingly. You can always buy cheaper white plates and
cups which will save you money. Instead of buying twelve balloons, just
buy a few balloons filled with helium from the local dollar store.
Additionally, most people don’t care if the napkins are coordinated or
plain white. Buy the plain white napkins and save the difference. Other
area to trim your party accessories budget is to forgo store bought
cakes and the accessories and to make your child’s birthday cake. Enlist
the help of a friend and cake decorating books and you will have a
